Follow Friday

This is my first one and knwoing me I will have done it wrong :P

Its a great idea, find out more here

Incase I have done the html wrong you can read about it here http://www.parajunkee.com/search/label/FF

Do you judge a book by its cover? Would a bad cover put you off the book?

I may judge it thinking oh I don't like the look of that (as I have done by the title of a book) but it has never put me off actually taking the book and reading it. Sometimes authors don't get a say in the book cover so much as I might not like the look of a cover or fancy the book title I will usually always give it a go anyway.

  4. I try to not judge a book by it's cover because there are some great books out there that have terrible covers.

  5. The cover is what gets my attention first. I may not always get a book with a cover I didn't like right away, but it never completely puts me off a book. I'm a new follower! My FF is at Coffee Table Reviews

  8. It is unfortunate that most of the time authors have no say in their book covers, especially the new and upcoming authors. I do try and keep that in mind when looking for new books but it is so hard to do!

  9. I totally judge! You're nicer than I am. It usually takes a really good review by someone else for me to pick up a book that I don't like the cover of!

  10. I think we can all agree that even the most beautiful book cover can't sell a book if the writing's not there. Book cover art may, at best, help steer me in the book's direction (especially if I'm in a book store) but it's not going to hypnotize me into buying it right then and there.

I expound on all the marketing qualities of a good book. Just follow me back to my book blog - http://www.howardsherman.net

    Thank God it's Follow Friday!?
