Wee additional giveaway (Facebook)

So I have been saying for a wee bit we would get another giveaway up on our blog side page, click here and it is the pinned post. And yes my tables are beaten up and need touched up but they were my mums then my da's and being unblemished/marked would I think take away from their character. They are creaky and imperfect :D so they have character.

You know we do BDWBS (Blind Date with a Book) for workies? Folk are always asking after them so we have done a giveaway for one. Winner gets to pick 1 of the 2 listed. One is historical fiction and one is paranormal fiction. The winner picks ONE of the two available. Each BDWB has x1 book, x1 bookmark and some kind of sweetie. If you look at both it tells you at the bottom it has either a hot drink, a facemask or a scented tealight candle.

I know I know my wrapping on this one isn't the best but I do find it difficult wrapping the ones with Yankee Candle tealights in them.

So just head over and comment which blind date you would pick, make sure you have liked the page so you don't miss the announcement and share the competition is always appreciated. Thanks for the support.

Wee additional giveaway & thank you

Image credited from here

THANK YOU! The blog twitter account has hit 2000 followers and the Facebook page is over 1700, thank you so so much guys for your support, interactions and recommendations for books and book events. I started this blog to keep track of books I have read, I kept re buying ones forgetting I had read them until a few chapters in. So I started the reviews to keep track and it links in with Goodreads which is awesome, so when people starting to interact, authors offered to send books, publishers and publicists reached out I was delighted and pleasantly surprised. My reviews are not literary masterpieces by any stretch of the imagination, I just write what I liked, what I didn't and recommend books to folks that I think will love them, even ones I disliked because one man's rubbish is another's gold. I have "met" so many great bloggers and bok lovers who are so supportive, been introduced to many great authors I would otherwise have missed and some absolute gems of books. So, as well as the current competition running just now, click here for details, this is just a wee additional & keeping in theme with Halloween.

A wee dvd called "Dead Of The Night" and a magnetic bookmark, both as shown in the picture above. To enter, just head over So Many Books So Little Time's Facebook page or click here to be redirected, like the post, share and comment. I will give you a number on your comment and at the end of the week I will random generate the winning number. This competition is open to everyone, you just need to like/share and comment, that is is. Good luck if you are entering and thanks again for your continued support.

Live Wire by Harlan Coben

Live Wire (Myron Bolitar, #10)Live Wire by Harlan Coben
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Time taken to read - 2 days

Pages - 384

Publisher - Orion

Blurb from Goodreads

When former tennis star Suzze T and her rock star husband, Lex, encounter an anonymous Facebook post questioning the paternity of their unborn child, Lex runs off, and Suzze - at eight months pregnant - asks Myron to save her marriage, and perhaps her husband's life. But when he finds Lex, he also finds someone he wasn't looking for: his sister-in-law, Kitty, who along with Myron's brother abandoned the Bolitar family long ago.

As Myron races to locate his missing brother while their father clings to life, he must face the lies that led to the estrangement - including the ones told by Myron himself. If we thought we knew Myron Bolitar, Coben now proves we didn't. An electric, stay-up-all night thriller that unfolds at a breakneck pace, Live Wire proves that Harlan Coben still has the ability to shock us anew.

My review

I really like this series with Bolitar & Win, this is book 10 although I never read them in order and often just read them as I come across them. Suzze T was a tennis star, now married and heavily pregnant to Lex, rock star legend. When a post on Facebook shakes Suzze's world and her husband disappears she comes to Myron for help. Little does Myron know that digging in this particular case will stir up his own past and as usual, when people want things to remain a secret, danger ensues.

Bolitar is his usual cheeky self and displays the banter we have come to know and love from him over the series. His family life has, over the previous series flung up some questions and mysteries, some of these resurface in this tale. Whilst Myron tries to work out the mystery for Suzze, he has to delve into his own past and actions.

An easy to read book, as always I would have loved to see more of Win. Action, swearing, drugs, violence, family and relationships are just some of the themes covered in this book. If you liked the previous stories you will enjoy this one, 3/5 for me.

Just an FYI

I got a few emails that some people weren't aware of the pre-loved giveaways (previous ones). I always announce them on here so if you follow you should see it on your updates on the dashboard or get emailed if you follow that way. I also add it on RISI and Twitter yet somehow people have still missed out.

So I have made a facebook page which I will update with the giveaways as they come

https://www.facebook.com/pages/So-Many-Books-So-Little-Time/243642142333727

And a group on Goodreads, again I will update that with the giveaways

http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/52803.Pre_loved_Giveaways_competitions_

Hopefully this covers everything and I have replied to all the emails, if any other issues please email me and I will fix it if I can.
